About Vicki Toan
Vicki helps her clients navigate the complexities of two specialist areas of law, resource management and unit titles law. She takes a solution-driven approach to providing practical legal advice and representation to landowners, developers, bodies corporate, unit owners, and body corporate managers that can be used in the real world.
Vicki is a member of the Resource Management Law Association and the Australian College of Strata Lawyers, and an associate member of the New Zealand Planning Institute. She regularly speaks at conferences, seminars, and webinars on resource management and unit titles-related topics.
Starting legal practice in 2006, Vicki has 18 years' experience as a legal advisor and advocate. A former partner a a mid-size commercial law firm in Auckland, Vicki understands the importance of understanding her client's goals.

Hearings
Vicki appears in council hearings and before the Environment Court, High Court, Land Valuation Tribunal and Tenancy Tribunal.
Alternative Dispute Resolution
Vicki attends court-assisted mediation in respect of resource consent, notice of requirement, and plan change appeals to the Environment Court as well as in the context of negotiating compensation under the Public Works Act.
Presentations
Vicki presents on a range of resource management and unit titles topic for the New Zealand Law Society, the Law Society (formerly the Auckland District Law Society), the Australian College of Strata Lawyers, and Legalwise Seminars, as well as presenting private in-house training sessions for planners, surveyors, real estate agents, and body corporate managers.
